SCHEDULE A TEST DRIVE

Overview

The 2024 Ford Bronco is bursting with personality and good looks. But consumers don't have to settle for a pretty face. While the Bronco's legendary nameplate may draw potential buyers, its capability as both a city vehicle and an all-terrain SUV is likely to appeal to a broad audience of consumers. While the exterior color options include retro hues, there's no mistaking the 2024 Ford Bronco is a modern vehicle, with plenty of the latest tech and safety features. The 2024 version of the Bronco is offered as nine models, ranging in price from the Big Bend trim for under $40,000 up to the Raptor trim, tipping the scale at over $90,000. Buyers have the option of a four- or six-cylinder engine.

Who's It For?

The Bronco is well-known as an iconic Ford vehicle. After its introduction in 1965, Ford discontinued its original SUV in 1996, after about 30 years of production, but reintroduced it in 2020. The 2024 edition of the Bronco introduces exterior color selections and trims--like a white roof--that are a throwback to Broncos from days gone by, appealing to long-time fans of Ford's popular SUV. Available in either two- or four-door variations, the 2024 Ford Bronco will also appeal to those looking for a tried-and-true SUV with ample cargo space and seating for a family.

What's New for 2024?

Ford discontinued the Bronco's base trim option for 2024 but still maintains a wide array of nine models for buyers to choose from. The 2024 edition of the Ford Bronco is a part of the sixth-generation Bronco, first introduced in 2021. Ford doesn't skimp on the text, making Bronco's 12-in. center touchscreen standard for the latest model year. Also of note, for those considering the top-end Bronco Raptor edition, expect new body-color fenders and an optional Code Orange trim package.

Real World Performance

Either the four-cylinder or six-cylinder turbo engine provides adequate power to enjoy a very capable driving experience with smooth shifting through the Bronco's 10-speed automatic transmission. For a touch of added power to make on-ramps and merging quick and easy, the V6 may be the preferred option. Depending on which trim is selected, the 2024 Bronco delivers up to 330 hp and 410 lb.-ft. of torque. The Bronco combines day-to-day utility with all-terrain ability. For 2024, Ford offers an open top and a selection of retro colors reminiscent of Ford's original Bronco, which had a place in Ford's lineup beginning in 1965 and is often credited as the first SUV.

The 2024 Ford Bronco's independent front suspension is behind the SUV's responsive, stable steering, even at freeway speeds. That also means the Ford Bronco is a great choice for road trips, both due to its cargo and passenger roominess, but because steering won't leave the driver fatigued.
